About “Satisfied” · 关于这首圣诗
克拉拉·蒂尔·威廉姆斯（1858–1937）在1875年写了《All my life long I had panted》，俄亥俄州福音诗歌出版人拉尔夫·哈德森后来为它谱了曲并加上副歌。全诗用口渴、饥饿、贫穷的图像，由基督一一回应，如约翰福音4:14：“我所赐的水，要在他里头成为泉源，直涌到永生”，以及诗篇107:9：“他使心里渴想的人得满足。”
Clara Tear Williams (1858–1937) wrote “All my life long I had panted” in 1875, and Ralph E. Hudson, an Ohio publisher of gospel songs, later composed the tune and added the refrain. The hymn is built on the images of thirst, hunger and poverty answered by Christ, as in John 4:14, “the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life”, and Psalm 107:9, “he satisfieth the longing soul”.
