1 太阳所行的地方，
都要在耶稣的统治之下；
他的国度要从这海岸伸展到那海岸，
直到月亮不再盈亏。
1 Jesus shall reign where-e'er the Sun
Does his successive Journeys run;
His Kingdom stretch from Shore to Shore,
Till Moons shall wax and wane no more.
2 [看哪，众海岛和她们的君王，
欧罗巴也献上她最好的贡品；
从北到南，诸王聚集，
在他脚前献上敬意。
2 [Behold the Islands, with their Kings,
And Europe her best Tribute brings;
From North to South the Princes meet,
To pay their Homage at his Feet.
3 那里有荣耀可观的波斯，
那里有闪耀着东方黄金的印度；
野蛮的诸国也在他一句话下

3 There Persia, glorious to behold,
There India shines in Eastern Gold;
And barb'rous Nations at his Word
Submit, and bow, and own their Lord.]
4 人要常常为他祷告，
赞美簇拥着，给他的头加冠；
他的名如甘甜的香气上升，
与每日清晨的祭一同升起。
4 For him shall endless Pray'r be made,
And Praises throng to crown his Head;
His Name like sweet Perfume shall rise
With ev'ry Morning Sacrifice.
5 各族各邦、各样方言的人，
都以最甘美的歌，思想他的爱；
婴孩的声音也要宣告，
在他名上早早蒙福。
5 People and Realms of ev'ry Tongue
Dwell on his Love with sweetest Song,
And Infant-Voices shall proclaim
Their early Blessings on his Name.
6 他所掌权之处，福泽丰盛，
囚徒欢跳着挣脱锁链；
劳苦的人找到永远的安息，
一切贫乏的人都蒙福。
6 Blessings abound where'er he reigns,
The Pris'ner leaps to loose his Chains;
The Weary find eternal Rest,
And all the Sons of Want are blest.
7 [他显出医治大能之处，
死亡和咒诅不再被知晓；
在他里面，亚当的众族所夸的，
比他们的父亲所失去的更多。
7 [Where he displays his healing Pow'r,
Death and the Curse are known no more;
In him the Tribes of Adam boast
More Blessings than their Father lost.
8 愿每一受造之物起来，
向我们的王献上特别的尊荣；
愿天使再次带着歌声降临，
愿大地回响那洪亮的阿们。]
8 Let ev'ry Creature rise and bring
Peculiar Honours to our King:
Angels descend with Songs again,
And Earth repeat the loud Amen.]
