主啊，我们飞向你祭坛的荫下；
从世界、它的盼望与惧怕出来，
父啊，我们在此寻求你的庇护：
我们疲倦软弱，求你恩典；
主啊，不要打发你的客人离去！
Forth from the dark and stormy sky,
Lord, to Thine altar’s shade we fly;
Forth from the world, its hope and fear,
Father, we seek Thy shelter here:
Weary and weak, Thy grace we pray;
Turn not, O Lord! Thy guests away.
我们久已在缺乏与痛苦中漂泊，
久已徒然寻求你的安息；
迷惘于疑惑，迷失于黑暗，
我们的灵魂久被风暴颠簸：
在你脚前我们放下我们的罪；

Long have we roamed in want and pain,
Long have we sought Thy rest in vain;
Wildered in doubt, in darkness lost,
