1 主啊，真有一处安息，
为疲倦的灵魂预备吗？
在那里没有忧虑搅动胸怀，
忧伤也无处可入？
1 And is there, Lord! a rest,
For weary souls designed,
Where not a care shall stir the breast,
Or sorrow entrance find?
2 真有一个福乐的家，
志同道合的人在那里相聚，
同住、同爱，永不离开
那宁静的退修之所吗？
2 Is there a blissful home,
Where kindred minds shall meet,
And live, and love, nor ever roam
From that serene retreat?
3 真有天上的溪水，
生命水在那里流淌，
水声如天使梦境般甘甜，
两岸花草繁茂吗？
3 Are there celestial streams,
Where living waters glide,
With murmurs sweet as angel dreams,
And flowery banks beside?
4 永远蒙福的，是那些
将欢然站立的人，
当无尽的年岁消逝，
他们仍在那荣耀之地！
4 For ever blessed they,
Whose joyful feet shall stand,
While endless ages waste away,
Amid that glorious land!
5 在这劳苦的岁月赐下时，
我的灵魂愿往那里去；
慈恩的神啊，那时求你让我升到
天上甘甜的安息中。
5 My soul would thither tend,
While toilsome years are given;
Then let me, gracious God! ascend
To sweet repose in heaven.
