1 安息日的主啊！求垂听我们的誓愿，
在你的日子，在你的殿中；
愿你悦纳作感恩的祭，
从你教会升起的诗歌。
1 Lord of the sabbath! hear our vows,
On this thy day, in this thy house;
And own, as grateful sacrifice,
The songs which from thy churches rise.
2 主啊！你在地上的安息日我们爱；
但在上有更高贵的安息。
你的仆人向往那安息，
怀着热切的盼望与强烈的渴望。
2 Thine earthly Sabbaths, Lord! we love;
But there’s a nobler rest above.
Thy servants to that rest aspire
With ardent hope and strong desire.
4 那里没有阴郁的忧虑滋扰，
没有自觉的罪疚搅扰我们的喜乐：
一切疑惑与惧怕都要止息，
完全的爱赐下完全的平安。
4 No gloomy cares shall there annoy,
No conscious guilt disturb our joy:
But ev'ry doubt and fear shall cease,
And perfect love give perfect peace.
5 那荣耀的日子几时开始，
超越死亡与罪的范围；
它的日头不再下落，
乃以不衰残的光辉照耀！
5 When shall that glorious day begin,
Beyond the reach of death or sin;
Whose sun shall never more decline,
But with unfading lustre shine!
