1 主我的神啊，求你使我的生命
在每一部分都充满赞美，
使我整个人宣告
你的存在与你的道路；
我所求的，不只是赞美的嘴唇，
也不只是赞美的心，
乃是由每一部分
赞美所组成的生命。
1. Fill Thou, my life, O Lord, my God,
In ev'ry part with praise,
That my whole being may proclaim
Thy being and Thy ways;
Not for the lip of praise alone,
Nor e'en the praising heart,
I ask, but for a life made up
Of praise in ev'ry part.
2 在我所说的寻常话语中有赞美，
在生活寻常的神色与语调中有赞美，
在炉边或餐桌上
与我所爱之人的往来中有赞美——
以甘甜坚定的意志
忍受冤屈、羞辱或损失，
爱并祝福那些恨我的人，
以善胜恶。
2. Praise in the common words I speak,
Life's common looks and tones,
In intercouse at hearth or board
With my beloved ones,--
Enduring wrong, reproach, or loss
With sweet and steadfast will,
Loving and blessing those who hate,
Returning good for ill.
3 这样，每一样惧怕、烦躁、忧虑，
都要化为诗歌，
道路的每一个转弯
都要延续那回声；
这样，昼夜没有一部分
不是神圣的，
我整个生命的每一步，
都是与你相交。
3. So shall each fear, each fret, each care,
Be turned into song,
And ev'ry winding of the way
The echo shall prolong;
So shall no part of day or night
From sacredness be free,
But all my life, in ev'ry step,
Be fellowship with Thee.
