圣洁的父啊，你已教导我
我应当惟独为你而活；
年复一年，你的手领我
经过常是未知的危险。
当我漂流，你找到了我；
当我疑惑，你差来光明；
你的膀臂仍围绕着我，
我一切的道路都在你眼前。
Holy Father, Thou hast taught me
I should live to Thee alone;
Year by year, Thy hand hath brought me
On through dangers oft unknown.
When I wandered, Thou hast found me;
When I doubted, sent me light;
Still Thine arm has been around me,
All my paths were in Thy sight.
在世上仇敌要攻击我，
比我更狡猾、更强大；
争战永不会离开我，
我清楚知道，直到我死之前。
所以，主啊，我相信地来到你面前，
你能赐我所需要的能力；
借着信心的祷告领受，
就是灵魂的力量，确实如此。
In the world will foes assail me,
Craftier, stronger far than I;
And the strife may never fail me,
Well I know, before I die.
Therefore, Lord, I come, believing
Thou canst give the power I need;
Through the prayer of faith receiving
Strength,—the spirit’s strength indeed.
