About “God Will Take Care of You” · 关于这首圣诗

Civilla Durfee Martin (1866–1948) wrote “God Will Take Care of You” in 1904, and her husband, the Baptist minister W. Stillman Martin, composed the tune in 1905. The usual account says that when Stillman hesitated to leave her, ill at home, to keep a preaching engagement, their young son said that if God wanted them to go, He would take care of her. The words echo 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you”.
