About “All the Way My Saviour Leads Me” · 关于这首圣诗

Fanny Crosby (1820–1915) wrote “All the Way My Saviour Leads Me” in 1875, and Robert Lowry composed the tune. By Crosby’s own account she was in need of money for rent and prayed, and a stranger came to the door and handed her exactly the sum she needed; the hymn grew out of that. The refrain line, “Jesus doeth all things well”, comes from Mark 7:37, and the “spring of joy” gushing from the Rock recalls Exodus 17:6 and 1 Corinthians 10:4.
