📖 Historical Background
Originally published in 1857 under the title "One Horse Open Sleigh," Jingle Bells was actually intended for Thanksgiving, not Christmas! James Pierpont composed it in Savannah, Georgia, though multiple cities claim to be the birthplace of the song.
It was the first song ever broadcast from space when Gemini 6 astronauts played it on a smuggled harmonica and bells in 1965.

Repeating Rhythms
The most recognizable part of Jingle Bells relies on a repeating pattern of three quarter notes followed by a half note (Jingle-bells, Jingle-bells...). This teaches beginners the importance of rhythmic consistency.
